On June 4, Caplan Cobb filed its opening brief in an Eleventh Circuit appeal on behalf of three parents of Florida public school students. The parents are challenging the dismissal of their lawsuit, which contends that the State violated their constitutional rights by denying them the opportunity to contest school board decisions to remove books while simultaneously allowing parents who support such removals to participate in the process. Caplan Cobb is joined by co-counsel Democracy Forward, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida.
