" Erin is one of the most talented litigators I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her adeptness at handling all stages of litigation in all types of subject-matter disputes, her impeccable work product, and her ability to think outside the box to arrive at creative solutions to difficult legal issues are just a few of her gifts. She is an invaluable asset to any client lucky enough to call her “counselor.” "
PRACTICE AREAS
Business Litigation & Counseling Erin has successfully resolved cases in state and federal court and private arbitration on behalf of clients of all sizes–from independent local publishers to major pharmaceutical companies. Erin also has experience advising clients regarding complex legal issues impacting their business.
Media Law Erin has defended media clients in defamation litigation; in one such case, she secured summary judgment in favor of her media client based on the application of the actual malice doctrine. Erin has assisted local news companies and nationally syndicated television programs with prepublication review, spotting and hashing out potential issues before a story goes to air. Erin has extensive experience with Georgia’s Open Records Act, and has helped numerous media clients secure documents and information from state agencies.
Healthcare Law Erin has helped to secure favorable settlements for nonprofit hospital systems in numerous contract disputes with managed care payors. Erin has also counseled healthcare clients regarding physician employment issues and restrictive covenant law, and has represented both hospitals and physicians in the peer review process.
